This page covers what the platform stores about you, where the rules for it are written down, and how to have your account removed.
What the platform keeps

Discussion posts, public lessons and public roadmaps you publish can be read by others, including — for discussions and lessons — people who are not signed in.
The policies
labs.selfmade.ninja is the Selfmade Ninja Academy's own platform, used here as the example. If your school or company runs its own copy of Selfmade Ninja Labs, use your platform's domain instead. It is the address you open the dashboard at.
If your organization runs its own copy of the platform, its own versions of these pages apply. Open them from that site instead.
If you stop using the platform

Pro accounts are never made dormant. Your points, achievements and history are kept in every case. See Plans and limits.
Deleting your account
There is no self-service delete button. Contact an administrator and ask for your account to be removed.
What happens, in order:
- Your labs are stopped and your devices, domains, services and sharing are released.
- Your stored files are deleted.
- Your records are kept, but de-identified: your name, email, username and other identifying details are removed, and your account is replaced by an anonymous marker. This covers everything — point transfers with other accounts, your activity history, lab history and the audit trail — so other people's balances stay correct and the platform can still show that the deletion happened, without identifying you.
The administrator always does step 1 before step 2: the platform refuses to delete your records while you still have labs, devices or other live resources, because they would be left running with nobody attached.
Even the record of your deletion does not name you. It stores only the anonymous marker, so the list of deletions is not a list of who asked.
Download anything you want to keep from your labs before you ask. Once your storage is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
Downloading your data
A self-service download of your data is coming soon. Until then, ask an administrator if you need a copy.
You can take your own lab files at any time: copy them out over SSH or from the browser editor. See Connect to a lab.
