Sharing and workgroups
You can let someone else watch, run or manage one of your labs without giving them your account. Share with a person, or with a workgroup — a saved list of people you share with often.
Who can share
Sharing requires a paid plan or 7,500 Zeal. Below that, the share dialog shows a lock notice with how much Zeal you have; grants you already made stay visible and can still be revoked. See Zeal and Jolt.
Share a lab
- Open the lab, or find it under Instances → My Instances, and click Share.
- Under Who, type a person's email or name — suggestions appear as you type — or pick a workgroup, organization or department from the list.
- Under As, choose a role.
- Optionally tick Extras and Can re-share.
- Click Share.
Roles
| Role | What they can do |

| Viewer | Watch the lab and open its app (Launch). Cannot stop, redeploy or change anything, and does not see its credentials. |
| Operator | Also start, stop, pause and redeploy it |
| Manager | Also change its preferences and share it with others |
Extras
Extras add one specific ability on top of the role, without raising the whole role. Only the extras that make sense for that lab are offered.

Can re-share lets them pass their access on, at or below their own role. Only the owner, an admin or a manager can allow it.
Shared users do not get SSH — that needs their own device and keys on your account, which a share cannot convey. Only the owner can transfer a lab, and only the owner can terminate it unless they granted Terminate.
When you share with a workgroup, organization or department, you can also choose whether it applies to All members or Owners & admins only.
Change or remove access
The Who has access list at the bottom of the same dialog shows every grant, and is where you revoke one. To give someone a different role, revoke and share again.
Finding shared labs
Instances → My Instances has tabs for everything you own and everything you can use:

Trash
When you terminate a copy and choose Move to trash, it lands in the Trash tab. Each entry shows how many days are left before it is purged automatically — 30 days after it was trashed.

Restoring needs a free copy slot. If you are at your copy limit, terminate another copy first.
Workgroups
A workgroup is a reusable audience: create it once, then share any lab or template with everyone in it in one step. Anyone can create one, and a person can belong to many.
Create a workgroup
- Go to Instances → Workgroups and click New workgroup.
- Give it a name and, optionally, a description.
- Open the workgroup's Settings → Members and add people by username, as member or admin.
Share with it
Pick the workgroup in the Who box of any share dialog. Its Share defaults decide the role people get when you do not pick one:

Adding someone to the workgroup later gives them everything already shared with it; removing them takes it away.
Roles in a workgroup
